Exploring the rows of southern beaches in Gunungkidul has never run out. There are always new things that make the beach attract many tourists. From all the beaches in Gunungkidul, most of them have a long coastline. No one expects among these beaches tucked away one tiny exotic beach, Slili Beach.
The Slili Beach is narrow among Krakal Beach and Sadranan Beach that separated by two hills. It is called as the tiny beach because it has a coastline that no more than 100 meters. But do not get wrong, even this beach is tiny, facilities are quite adequate especially with food stalls that sell many types of seafood and young coconut that very attracting to the tourists.
It becomes the option for those who want to play on the beach that is not crowded beach. Besides that, this beach also provides snorkeling service which completes with tools and guides.
After playing water, tourists can go up to the hill that separates the Slili Beach and the Sadranan Beach while enjoying Gunungkidu beauty and gentle sea breeze. From the top of the hill, you will see a row of sandy beaches of Gunungkidul, a vast blue sea, and green hills on the beach. Unfortunately, they are advised to be careful because of the lack of security on the hill.
Some beach facilities available for tourists include stalls that provide snacks and heavy meals, bathrooms, and toilets. There is also a gazebo, a place to relax on the beach, and lodging for them who want to feel what it’s like to spend the night on Slili Beach.
The Slili Beach is located in Sidoharjo Village, Tepus District, Gunung Kidul. Access to this beach is quite good and is very convenient for passing vehicles. From Yogyakarta, take direction to Wonosari then continue to Baron Beach until you find a payment counter to Baron Beach. From the ticket place, turn left towards Kukup Beach. This trip is in line with Sepanjang Beach, Drini Beach, Ngandong Beach, and Krakal Beach. At the T-junction of Krakal Beach than turn right or follow the crossing directions to the Slili Beach. The location of the Slili Beach is not far from Krakal Beach, exactly west of Sadranan Beach.
