Ngalang Village is one of the tourist villages in Gunung Kidul where the nature tourism becomes magnet that can attract tourist visitation. Ngalang Village has a topographic area of coral hill. It is located in Gedangsari District, Gunung Kidul Regency. The government and the local community work together to develop their various potentials attraction provided as tourism area.
Gentong Mountain
Gentong Mountain becames the favorite icon of nature tourism in Ngalang Village. It is located in Manggung village. This area is usually called as 4G Peak, the acronym of Gunung Gentong Gedangsari Gunung Kidul. The scenery offered is a beautiful hilly landscape panorama that can be seen from the top of this mountain that could make you feel amazed. Visitors can see sunrise and sunset in this spot if the weather is sunny. According to the local people story, the Peak area of Gentong Mountain was used by Prabu Brawijaya V to have a meditation. When Prabu Brawijaya V has been meditating, he has been throwed by a barrel or called Gentong from Raden Patah that had to be used for Wudhu. Thus far, the visitors can still see that barrel in that area.
Payung Mountain
Payung Mountain is a hilly tourism area located in Boyo Village. It is called Payung Mountain because on the the top of this hill there was a big tree that looks like an umbrella. The view offered on Payung Mountain is as exotic as in Gentong Mountain. On the top of this mountain there is a cave called Payung Cave.
Watu Tumpang
The one of the tourism objects shouldn’t be missed when you come to Ngalang Village is Watu Tumpang. This tourist object is very captivating because there are two large stones which one of them overlaps the other one.
Cultural Tour
Other than offering nature tourism, Ngalang Tourism Village also offers cultural tourist attractions. One of those tourist attractions is Nyadran Ceremony. The village community will gather at the slope of Gentong Mount precisely near the Prabu Brawijaya V’s site. The ceremony begins with a cultural parade from the Ngalang Village Hall by bringing various crops to the slope of Gentong mountain which is approximately 3 km away. The local people will carry the yield through a winding road.
During the parade the person who carrying the yield is not allowed to take a rest, they can only to have rest when the parade has entered the area called Watu Lincip and they will be welcomed by jathilan, ledhek, and tayub performance show. Then after the jathilan is finished, the parade will be continued until they reach the ceremony location. The Nyadran event is an annual event held as an expression of gratitude for the abundant harvests in Ngalang Village. This unique moment is also used as a magnet to attract tourist visitation.

The facilities available in each tourist spot in Ngalang Village are quite complete. There are bathrooms, mushola, parking areas, gazebos, and food court area. The Entrance ticket of those tourism object is also cheap, it is less than IDR 10,000
