Sidoharjo tourism village is one of the tourism villages located in Kulon Progo, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The village which is known for its waterfall is situated in the area of Menoreh Hill that has refreshing air and beautiful nature.
Sidoharjo tourism village offers various fun activities for the visitors like nature exploration activity. By the village nature condition and also natural forest provided, the nature exploration activity becomes the main attraction of Sidoharjo tourism village. The visitors can do tracking to reach Sidoharjo waterfall that’s roughly up to 75 meters high. They can also do cave tracing in Lawa cave or (Bat Cave), the cave that’s created by big rocks. In addition they can explore also the forest in this village area to find various kinds of animals like long-tailed macaque, fox, mongoose, pangolin, and leopard.
The visitor can enjoy the local art performance as well as jathilan, hadrah, rebana, ketjoprak, ande-ande lumut, karawitan, and wayang kulit too. Furthermore, the can also learn to cultivate salak pondoh and to make keripik salak.
Sidoharjo tourism village is located in Sidoharjo, Samigaluh, Kulon Progo. To reach this village the visitors can take their own motor vehicle where they have to take about 60 minutes. By its location on the hilly area, the visitors are suggested to keep paying attention once they come by their own vehicle.
