<\/p>\nBased on social ecotourism which located in the south Code river bank, this tourism village offers crafting and traditional art package tour. Dewa Bronto Village is situated in Brontokusuman, Mergangsang. The name of Dewa Bronto is derived from the name of the village in Mergangsang sub-district area called Brontokusuman. Based on the story and the information from the locals around, Dalem Brotokusuman was house of the one of the royal family member of Kraton Kasultanan Yogyakarta, the princess of Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono VII namely Gusti Bendara Raden Ayu Brontokusumo GBRAy<\/p>\n
Brontokusumo is the eighth daughter of Hamengku Buwono VII and the queen of GKR. Kencana which is usually called GBRAy Brontokusumo. KRT Brontokusumo was a Wandhan which the name was GKR Condrokirono I formerly. Because she was accepted by KRT Brontokusumo, her name was becoming GBRAy Brontokusumo. KRT Brontokusumo was the leader of abdi dalem Kraton and received also Parentah Punokawan Kraton. But since his father was died, he had to overtake his father\u2019s position as the mayor of Nayaka Werdana Keparak Tengen.<\/p>\n
According to Kraton Yogyakarta\u2019s tradition, the king would always give the residence for his sons and his daughters. But the princess would only get the right of use asset. If the princess was died, the asset would be taken back to the Kingdom, then Kraton would give it again for others member royal family. That\u2019s what also happened in Dalem Brontokusuman<\/p>\n
Brontokusumo was the daughter of Sri Sultan, so she had right of use of a residence, which was finally called as Dalem Brontokusuman. After the death of Brontokusumo, the asset of house of Brontokusumo would be returned to Kraton and it was left empty for a long time because there was nobody got the right of use of that house. Afterward, the front yard of the house of Brontokusuman was taken by Bung Karno to build Perjuangan Museum. Then, that house was occupied again by GBPH Puger, the 41st son of Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono VII and BRAy Retnopuspito. Since that moment that house is called Dalem Pugeran even so, the name of the village is still called Brontokusuman Village.<\/p>\n
