Gunungkidul Regency has a karst topography formed from the dissolving limestone process. This landscape stretches from Gunungkidul regency, Wonogiri to Pacitan and is known as Karst Gunung Sewu.

Its unique nature affects the tourist attraction in Gunungkidul. Gunungkidul’s natural attractions can be considered a bit extreme compared to natural tourism in Sleman, Kulon Progo, and Bantul Regency, like cave tours in Kalisuci, Pindul, and the latest is Ngingrong Cave.

It is located in the Karo Mulo Valley, Mulo Village, Wonosari District, Gunungkidul Regency. This cave is a collapse dollin or better known as a sinkhole and forms a horizontal cave. No wonder that the tourist enthusiasts of the Ngingrong Cave are extreme tourist lovers.

Another unique natural phenomenon that can be found here is that there is a lafadz of Allah in the cliffs and rocks that resemble those who are praying. There are also many large white rocks and some rocks the size of an elephant decorated with water droplets from the cave wall stalactites.

Besides go directly to the cave, rappelling Ningrong cliffs with a height of 80 meters, as well as vertical cave path to the underground lake with three levels of lake, tourists can also try the flying fox that divides the valley with a height of 90 meters. Is it has pretty much extreme tourist choices, right?

Going to the Ngingrong Cave, just started from Yogyakarta go straight to Jogja-wonosari road until at the T-junction Wonosari Sport Centre and turn right, then meet the intersection turn right. There is a T-junction turns left until the intersection turn left and then take the highway, approximately 500 meters on the edge road has seen a signboard of a tourist attraction and Mount Sewu Geopark.

Ngingrong Cave Gunungkidul is one of the regencies in DIY Province that has a unique natural charm.
