This certainly encourages entrepreneurs in the tourism sector to further develop tourism in Sleman regency, especially in the area around the slopes of Merapi, Klangon Hill for example.
Klangon Merapi Hill carries tourist viewing post as a main concept. However, unlike another tourism that has the same concept, the viewing post on Klangon Hill takes the firmness of Mount Merapi as its background. It can be seen from the viewpoint of Mount Merapi which looks big, stout, and fascinating.
Besides being famous for its viewing post, Klangon Hill is also known as one of the best Downhill locations in Yogyakarta. In this place, a circulating downhill track is developed for mountain bike riders (MTB). Even on several occasions, Klangon Hill also organize bicycle championship events at both regional and national levels.
Towards Klangon Merapi Hill, tourists can start from Jalan Kaliurang straight north until they meet a T-junction to go to Merapi Golf or The Lost World Castle. After that, take a right straight east. Until there is a T-junction, take a left and follow the directions to Klangon Hill. This Klangon Hill is located only about 2 km from The Lost World Castle.
