It was said that when escaping from Majapahit, Prabu Brawijaya V pretending to burn himself in Ngobaran. He took this way because Brawijaya V did not want to fight against his son, Raden Patah (The First King of Demak) who had embraced Islam.
However, there was a story said that Prabu Brawijaya indeed burned himself with a wife whom he invited to go from Majapahit.
Besides the temple, on the east side there is a building that resembles a temple.
In addition, there are also mosque and a joglo building. Joglo is often used to hold some certain rituals.
