Kamandungan Lor is usually called Plataran Keben or Keben court because there are many big trees namely Keben trees. The archway of Kamandungan lor to the next yard is called Regol Kamandungan or Regol Srimanganti which becomes the second yard that has only some buildings. The buildings which are in this yard of Kamandungan lor are such as :

This place was formerly used as supreme court of the cases related to death penalty. Sri Sultan took his oath to lead this supreme court
Kamandungan Lor is now used as the place to organize the traditional ceremony like grebeg and sekaten.
