Wayang Beber Sekartaji Museum is the first Wayang Beber Museum in Jogja. Founded three years ago on October 1st, 2017 by Indra Suroinggeno at his house in the village of Kanutan Sumbermulyo, Bantul.
Wayang beber is a puppet in the form of a painting made on daluang paper or canvas media, containing a story that the dalang will tell by explaining it.
These puppets are not as popular as wayang kulit. Because of the paradigm in society, wayang beber which is not from Pacitan and Gunungkidul means it is not up to standard like original.
