When we hear the name Nglanggeran, people will remember about a tourist destinations in Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta. It is known for its beautiful panorama of rocky mountains which are said to have originated from an ancient volcano that was active thousands years ago. The peak of the ancient volcano, Nglanggeran, is now being visited by many tourists to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful view from a height.
When the sun rises on the eastern horizon or when it sunset on the west side, a beautiful panorama will be viewed at the top of the Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano. Not only that, in the last five years the beauty of the ancient volcano of Nglanggeran has been more perfect with the presence of the Embung or an artificial lake on the southeast side of the Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano.
Kampung Pitu is on the eastern side of the peak of the Nglanggeran ancient volcano or what is often called Mount Wayang. This village is considered very special because it only contains by seven families different.
Kampung Pitu is located in Nglanggeran Wetan Hamlet RT 04 / RW 19. To get to Kampung Pitu, you have to go through a tough terrain. The rocky and uphill road has indeed become something that is challenging to explore when visiting Kampung Pitu.
